WE DO NOT PART

Sinopsis

One winter morning in Seoul, Kyungha receives an urgent message from her friend Inseon, who is recovering in a hospital after an accident. Inseon asks Kyungha to return to Jeju Island and save her beloved white bird, Ama, left alone at her home. But when Kyungha arrives, a snowstorm has engulfed the island, turning the journey into a desperate struggle against the cold, darkness, and worsening weather. As she makes her way toward Inseon’s house, the boundaries between memory, dream, and reality begin to blur, drawing her into the painful history her friend has carried with her. Through their friendship, Han Kang gradually uncovers a forgotten chapter of Korean history and the voices of those who suffered through it. We Do Not Part is a haunting meditation on memory, grief, friendship, and the responsibility to remember those who might otherwise disappear from history.
