Sinopsis

In a seemingly perfect future, there is no war, hunger or pain, and every aspect of life is carefully controlled. At the age of twelve, Jonas is assigned the important role of Receiver of Memory, a position that will expose him to experiences and emotions that his community has deliberately erased. With the guidance of the mysterious Giver, Jonas begins to discover the truth behind his supposedly ideal society and realizes that perfection has come at a great cost. As his understanding grows, he must find the courage to question the world he has always known and decide what is truly right.
