A GAME OF THRONE

Sinopsis

In Westeros, summer has lasted for years, but the Starks of Winterfell know that winter is coming. Eddard Stark rules the North in the name of King Robert Baratheon, living with his wife, Catelyn, their children, and Jon Snow. Their peaceful life changes when King Robert arrives at Winterfell with his family and asks Eddard to become the new Hand of the King following the mysterious death of Jon Arryn. Far beyond the towering Wall, however, ancient dangers once dismissed as legend are beginning to stir. Meanwhile, the powerful House Lannister surrounds the royal family, bringing ambition, rivalries, and secrets of its own. As the Starks become drawn into the dangerous politics of King’s Landing, alliances begin to shift and old conflicts return. George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones is a sweeping fantasy of power, loyalty, betrayal, family, and war, where every decision can change the fate of kingdoms.
